Obituary for Robert Douglas Gates Robert Douglas Gates age 52 a resident of Cleveland passed away Thursday April 5, 2018. Robert was born in Cleveland TN. , September 27, 1965.

He was a 1983 graduate of Brevard High School in Brevard North Carolina. He worked for Industrial Valve since 1993 were he has held many titles and most recently being their field service superintendent. He was well known for his machinist capabilities.

He loved outdoor adventures, mechanical projects, spoiling his grandbabies and helping others. He was preceded in death by his son Tyler Gates and his grandmother Mary Nell Key. He is survived by his mother Sue Starkey and his step father Ken Starkey, his brother Jeff Gates, daughter Sarah Waymire and her husband Trent, stepson Shane Roach, grandkids Lily, Kole, Kloe, Caleb, Tucker and Maverick, many cousins and extended family, work family and friends.

A Remembrance of Life Memorial Service will be held at 11 o’clock Saturday April 14, 2018 at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Ave. Chapel with Pastor Kevin Teague officiating. s “ NO SHOES, NO SHIRT, NO PROBLEM”.
