Obituary for Robert Duance “Swede” Wilcox Robert “Swede” Duane Wilcox also known as Bobby, Bob, Cowboy, Ouboy, Hoksila, and Sweetie Pie, was born on August 13, 1955 in Kadoka, SD to Howard “Skee” J. Wilcox, Jr. and Frances J. (Sears) Wilcox. Swede made his journey to the Spirit World on February 19, 2019 at the Rapid City Regional Hospice House in Rapid City, SD. Swede is survived by his brother, Dwayne C. (Felicia) Wilcox of Rapid City, SD; sisters, Connie (Luverne) Fast Horse of Phoenix, AZ, Janyce (Ron) Trask of Black Canyon City, AZ, Sheryl (Rich Cottier) Lessert, Paula (Terry) Nelson, and Shield (Steve) Hahn all of Martin, SD, and Carol (Jesse Claussen) Wilcox of Kyle, SD; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Swede was preceded in death by his parents, Howard J. “Skee” Wilcox, Jr. and Frances J. (Sears) Wilcox; brother, James J. “Jimmie Joe” Wilcox; paternal grandparents, Howard J. Wilcox, Sr. and Evelyn (Rooks) Wilcox-Pourier; maternal grandparents, Myrtle H. (Green) Sears-Dillon and Leander Sears; and step-grandfather, Robert “Bob” Dillon. Pallbearers will be Francis “Frank” Trask, Justin J. McGaa, Tyce D. Nelson, Neil “Tony” Wilcox, Sterling A. Hahn, and Stewart H. Hahn. Honorary pallbearers will be the Bennett County Nursing Home Staff, Rapid City Regional Hospice House Staff, and all his Friends, Cowboy Friends, Lady Friends, Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Relatives, & Cousins.

Vigil Services: Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday, February 22, 2019 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Martin, SD with Rosary Services starting at 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Martin, SD.
