Obituary for Paula Michelle Goings Paula Michelle Goings, Anpo Wicahpi Win” was born on July 28, 1970 in Pine Ridge, SD to Michael Goings and Estelle (Patton) Goings. Paula made her journey to the Spirit World on February 12, 2019 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, SD. Paula attended kindergarten through 8th grade at Wolf Creek School and some schooling at Crow Creek High School.
Paula graduated from the Oglala Lakota College where she obtained a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and a Masters Degree in Business. Paula loved to play BINGO, go for long drives in the summer with her three children, go fishing, attend the parade of lights, and her favorite holiday was the 4th of July; but most importantly, taking naps, “Round 1 and Round 2,” as she would call them. Paula is survived by her three children, LaShay, Shawn, and Bow Perkins; mother, Estelle (Patton) Goings all of Rapid City, SD; silbings, Tanya (Scott Thompson) Goings of Stephan, SD, Vonnie Goings-Seaboy of Virden, IL; Tayne Goings of Pierre, SD, Tammy Goings of Rapid City, SD, Richie Goings of Pine Ridge, SD, Paul Goings of Rapid City, SD, and Charles Campos of Emmons, MN; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Paula was preceded in death by her father, Michael E. Goings; maternal grandparents, Inez (Ruff) Patton and George B. Patton Sr.; paternal grandparents, Rebecca (Cuny) Goings and Roland “Scope” Goings; and sister, Sonchia (Goings) Wilcox. Pallbearers will be Walker Thompson, Bud Thompson, Kyle Thompson, Cody Seaboy, Tyler Seaboy, Trinie Seaboy, Jr., and Derek Carpio. Honorary pallbearers will be her special aunt, Betty, and All Relatives & Friends.
Wake Services: One night wake service will start at 3:00 PM, Sunday, February 17, 2019 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Ridge, SD with Rosary Services being held at 7:00 PM.
