Joseph made his journey to the Spirit World on January 10, 2019 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, SD. Joseph is survived by his wife, Mona Bettelyoun of Rapid City, SD; daughters, Joey Bettelyoun, Judy Sierra and Margaret Sierra; sons, Travis and JayDee Bettelyoun, all of Rapid City, SD; sister, Sue Bettelyoun of Rapid City, SD; brothers, Marlin and Michael Parmenter, both of Batesland, SD; numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph, Sr. and Gladys Bettelyoun; son, Fonzy Bettelyoun; daughter, Nancy J. Bettelyoun; brothers, Terry and Yogi Bettelyoun and George Ghost Bear; and sister, Madonna Bettelyoun. Pallbearers will be: Cody Bettelyoun, Joseph Bettelyoun, Myles Dillon, Lyle Dillon, Will Dillon, R.J. Williams, John Conroy, Louis Bettelyoun, Mervin Colhoff and Nate Colhoff. Wake Services: Two night wake service starting at 3:00 PM, Thursday, January 17, 2019 at the Batesland School Gym in Batesland, SD with a prayer service starting at 7:00 PM.
