Obituary for Dorothea Viola DuBray Dorothea Viola DuBray, was born on January 31, 1931 in Pine Ridge, SD to Josiah and Melissa (Holy Eagle) Understanding Crow. Dorothea made her journey to the Spirit World on February 1, 2019 at the Bennett County Hospital in Martin, SD. Dorothea was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother; and was also an active member of the First Body of Christ Church.
Dorothea is survived by her children, Brian DuBray, Sr. of Martin, SD, and Delbert DuBray and Keith DuBray both of Rapid City, SD; 20 grandchildren, and 35 great grandchildren. Dorothea was preceded in death by her spouse, Eugene DuBray; parents, Josiah and Melissa Understanding Crow; sisters, Virginia and Veronica; brothers, Alex and Rudy; children, Monica and Jeff; and two granddaughters, Eugenia and Brooks DuBray. Pallbearers will be Eric Cottier, Sr., Cornell Ruff, Jr., Dewey Shangreaux, Dustin Cottier, Brandon Terzo, and Ernie Libby.
Honorary pallbearers will be all her grandchildren, great grandchildren, Lorena Brave Hawk, Betty Peters & Kids, Rebecca Brave Hawk & Girls, and All Relatives & Friends. Wake Services: Two night wake service starting at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at the LaCreek CAP Office in Martin, SD with evening services starting at 7:00 PM each night.
