Gilbert made his journey to the Spirit World on January 3, 2019 at his home in Scottsbluff, NE. Gilbert is survived by his spouse, Fern Cross of Scottsbluff, NE; children, Michael “Kevin” Cross and Nona Morales both of Scottsbluff, NE; Gilbert Little Spotted Horse, Jr. of Lincoln, NE; Billy Little Spotted Horse, Morning Song Little Spotted Horse, Julianna Izazaga, Julian Cross, Bernard Little Spotted Horse, Shanlee Cross, Angelia Cross, and Angelita Cross all of Scottsbluff, NE; sister, Linda Yellow Horse; brother, Norton Little Spotted Horse; 42 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.
Gilbert was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Gladys Little Spotted horse; daughter, Jessica Grace Cross; brothers, Donroy Little Spotted Horse, David Little Spotted Horse, and Lavern Little Spotted Horse; and grandchildren, Alonzo Cross, Isabella Little Spotted Horse, and Jacob Pettis. Wake Services: Four night wake service with the first two nights starting at 1:00 PM, Tuesday & Wednesday, January 8 & 9, 2019 at the Lakota Lutheran Center in Scottsbluff, NE with evening services starting at 5:00 PM each night; the third and fourth night will start at 1:00 PM, Thursday & Friday, January 10 & 11, 2019 at the Wakpamni CAP Office in Pine Ridge, SD.
