Robert E Jakovich, age 88, of Port St. Lucie, FL, passed away January 23, 2019. Born July 1, 1930 to Milan Jakovich and Sarah Munis in Mingo Junction Ohio, Robert came to Port St. Lucie in 2005. Spending most of his adult life as a Certified Public Accountant, he also proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.

Robert loved sports and was best known as a devout Ohio State Buckeye’s Fan. Robert is preceded in death by his beloved wife Mary Ann, whom he was married to for 59 wonderful years. He is survived by his son, Robert A. Jakovich (Joan); grandchildren, Sam (Nicole) Zagorac, Nicole (Matt) Kundrat, Marko Zagorac; brother, George (Doreen) Jakovich; sister, Dorothy McKay; and great grandchildren, Sam, Gino, Nina, David, Mila and Ella.

While living in Cleveland, Ohio Bob was an active member of St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Cathedral holding various positions on the Executive Board of the church. He was also Treasurer for many years of the Serb National Federation. Funeral service will take place Monday, January 28th, 2019 at St. James of the Apostle Orthodox Church located at 2201 SE Airoso Blvd, Port St. Lucie, FL 34952 at 11:00 AM with visitation from 10:00 AM until time of service.

Interment will be Tuesday, July 29th at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Fl at 10:45 AM. Robert will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to Treasure Coast Hospice, 5900 Dunn Road, Fort Pierce, Florida 34981.
