Smith, Robert E. Age 71, formally of Pittsburgh, passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2019. Beloved Father of Sherry (Leonard) Fabrizi currently residing in Waynesboro, VA, Kathy (Rick) McClintic of State College, PA, and Robert Smith of Wilmington, NC, Pap-Pap of Ren, Neal and Hannah Butler, Sarah and Matthew McClintic, Bella and Josie Smith, Brother of Sandy (Craig) Moore. Uncle of Carrie McKinney, Shane, Jason and Benjamin Moore and their families.

Robert was a graduate of Canevin H.S. and was known as “Smitty” with the Ironworkers Local 3 for 35 Years. Bob was proud of his work with Eastern Steel that helped shape the skyline of the Pittsburgh area. Upon retirement, he enjoyed living in Florida for 12 Years and settled back to South Western, PA to be closer to family.

He then busied himself with handy man projects for anyone that asked. He was a thrill seeker and enjoyed sharing travel adventurers with family. He embraced new technology and trying new things.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Schepner-McDermott Funeral Home, Inc., 165 Noble Avenue, Crafton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday 10 a.m. in St. Philip Catholic Church, 50 West Crafton Avenue, Pgh, PA 15205 To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Robert E.
