Robert E. Rutzen 94 of Elkhorn, WI died at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center on April 21, 2018 surrounded by his close family. Robert was born on October 3, 1923, son of the late Margaret (Schmidt) Rutzen. Robert made Elkhorn his home in 1964 out by North Lake.

He enjoyed deer hunting, bingo, and refurbishing household items for re-sale. He proudly owned and operated Bob Rutzen & Son Cement Contractor for many years. Robert also made a daily stop at Burger King for breakfast every morning for an estimated 30 years.

Robert is survived by his two children; Karen Babcock and Ron Rutzen; 6 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings; Eugene, Bernice, Geraldine, and Eleanor. A Funeral Service will take place at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory 730 N. Wisconsin Street of Friday April 27, 2018 at 11:00AM.

A Visitation will be held before the Funeral starting at 10:00AM. Robert will be buried after the Funeral at Hazel Ridge Cemetery in Elkhorn, WI with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Lakeland Animal Shelter 3651 WI-67 Delavan, WI 53115.
