On Wednesday, October 31, 2018, Robert “Dom” F. Domiano, obtained eternal peace at the age of 69 surrounded by his loving family. Born February 23, 1949 in Vandergrift, PA to the late Robert E. and Ella J. Domiano. Dom was a life long resident of Vandergrift and a member of the Vandergrift #2 Fire Department.

He was a legend of his own to all who knew him. He had a passion for life, family, children, cars, hunting, working,socializing and upholding the “Family Tradition”. Dom could be found on a daily basis spending time with his grandchildren, working on a car in his garage, enjoying time hunting at the family camp, socializing at the family pizza shop “Dommy’s Pizza” and of course every minute he could with, his wife, his sweetheart.

The number of hearts and lives that he touched will forever be remembered. He recently retired from Pittsburgh Anodizing that he enjoyed very much, but spent the majority of his life working underground in the coal mines. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 45 years, Alberta Domiano who will forever be known by him as “My Baby”.

His proudest accomplishments son “Bobby” Robert Domiano(Companion Sherry Hepler), daughter “Sissy Girl Daddy” Jeanine (Mike) Hamilton, and four grandchildren Brandon and Jarett King and Eliana and Olivia Domiano. He will be foreverdeeply missed by his sister Roberta (Robert) Ardisson, two brothers, Vincent (Melody) Domiano and Richard (Tammy) Domiano. In addition to many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.

In the end it is not the years in your life but the life in your years and Dom, Patches, Unc Dom, Leroy, Honer. . was the true example of how to live a life of selflessness and caring and will forever be missed.

Family and friends will be received Monday from 1-3 & 7-9 pm in the Dunmire – Kerr &Rowe Funeral Home,Inc. 244 Franklin Avenue Vandergrift where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 am with Pastor Thomas Holmes officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
