Robert Karrels, of the Town of Port Washington, went to be with his Savior Jesus in the early morning hours of Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Harbor Campus. He was 73 years old. Bob was born in Port Washington on April 16, 1945, son of Cyril Karrels and Ann Valukas Karrels.

He grew up on the family farm in the Town of Belgium, and attended school in Port Washington, graduating from Port Washington High School with the class of 1963. Bob was a very active member of Open Door Bible Church in Port Washington, where he served on the church board. Bob valued his faith and his family. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Mary Ann of the Town of Port Washington, four sons: Dean (Holly) Karrels of Port Washington, Thomas (Kris) Karrels of Germantown, Michael (Tammy) Karrels of Cedarburg, and David (Abbey) Karrels of Wauwatosa.

Bob is further survived by nine grandchildren: Brett, Bryce, Mallory, Avabella, Olivia, Madison, Beckett, Summer, and one on the way, siblings Kathy (Ronald) Swihart of Lake Church, Mary Ann (Todd) Pollpeter of Filmore, and John (Liz) Karrels of Fillmore, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services celebrating Bob’s life will be held on Saturday, January 12th at 12:00 Noon at Open Door Bible Church, 3420 County Road LL, Port Washington.

Pastor Sid Litke will preside over the service. Bob will be laid to rest in Holden East Cemetery in Port Washington. Visitation will take place at the Church on Saturday from 10 AM until the time of services.
