Robert’s Obituary Robert “Bob” G. Hankwitz, 57, of Little Chute passed away suddenly from a heart attack on Sunday January 27th 2019 while surrounded by his loved ones. Bob was born on June 29th 1961 to James and Margaret “Pete” (Bogan) Hankwitz of Appleton. Bob was kind and helpful to a fault.

He took pride in being an accomplished plasterer whose unique style and artistry are recognized throughout the local trade community. Bob loved NASCAR and could often be found with his brother Bill enjoying the local races at WIR, golfing and tearing up the snowmobile trails of Northern Wisconsin. Bob looked forward to his often daily visits with his mother.

He also appreciated time spent up north helping and relaxing at his family’s and friend’s cottages. He was many things but above all else Bob was kind and he loved those lucky enough to know him without limitation. Bob was a proud father who was captivated by his grandchildren and truly grateful for the love they brought to his life.

He was a devoted son, a loyal brother, uncle and friend. So many who loved him will deeply feel his loss. Bob is survived by his special friend, Susan Chandler; daughter, Megan (Tyler Bellile); grandchildren: Brailynn and Easton; stepson, Chris Sager; and his special friend’s daughter, Paula Scherer.

He is further survived by his mother, Margaret “Pete” Hankwitz; his siblings: Cindy Gloudemans (special friend, Jim Schultz), Bill (Pam) Hankwitz and Linda (Mark) Schroeder; his many loving nieces and nephews; and his special friend’s mother, Paula Chandler. Bob was preceded in death by his father, James Hankwitz. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.

Visitation services will be held on Wednesday, February 6th at First Congregational UCC Appleton, 724 E. South River Street, Appleton WI.
