Obituary for Robert Gerald Jackson Sr Robert G. “Bud” Jackson, 93 of Largo, Florida, and formerly of Lisbon, passed away peacefully Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Sabal Palms Health Care Centre in Largo. Mr. Jackson was born March 23, 1925 in East Liverpool, Ohio; son of the late Oke Gale Jackson and the late Irene Goldie (Irvin) Jackson, and had lived most of his life in the Lisbon area until moving to Florida few years ago. Bud was employed as a machinist and also worked for Quality Control for NRM for 32 years, retiring in 1985.

He was also a part-time farmer. Mr. Jackson proudly served our country during WWII as a member of the U.S. Marine Corp. He was also a life member of the Wilfred J. Clunk WFW Post 4111, a former member of the Lisbon Lions Club, and attended the Lisbon Assembly of God Church.

His first wife, Dorothy Ruth “Dot” Jackson, whom he married November 13, 1942, precede him in death October 8, 2001. He also was precede in death by his brothers, Joe and Lester Hall; brother Gary V. Jackson; sister, Helen Thorn; and grandson, Sgt, Nicholas Jackson. He is survived by his second wife, Edna J. Miller Jackson of Largo, Florida; daughters, Terrill R (Art) Toot of Rogers, and Jennie (Tom) Scheel of Lisbon; and Dorothy (Edward) Roberts of East Liverpool; sons, Robert G. Jackson, Jr., Robin L. (Jackie) Jackson, Timothy A. Jackson, all of Lisbon, and Mark A. Jackson of Largo; sister Janet Kruger of Wisconsin; brothers David R. Jackson of East Liverpool and Keith (Mary) Talbott of East Liverpool; 37 grandchildren;35 great grandchildren; and 7 great great grand children.
