Obituary for Robert H. deVore Robert H. deVore, 88, of West Lafayette and formerly of North Manchester area passed at 2:20 pm, Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at the Indiana Veterans Home of West Lafayette where he had been a resident for 4 years. He was born on Jan. 8, 1930 in Wabash, Ind.

to Eugene and Josephine (Hollenback) deVore. He married on May 14, 1948 in Wabash, Ind. to Shirley Fraley, she preceded on Feb.

2, 2006. He was a machinist for General Tire of Wabash. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 286 of North Manchester and the VFW Post 286 of Wabash. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He even extended his love of outdoor sportsmanship to other states.

Survivors and place of residence: Daughters – LaDeanna and husband Max Thompson – Claypool, Ind. Tammy L. deVore – Columbia City, Ind. Son – Robert deVore – Silver Lake, Ind.
