Robert H. Drick, 89, of Allenwood, passed away peacefully in the loving care of The AristaCare Nursing Facility in Loyalsock Township on Friday, March 1, 2019. Born May 16, 1929 in Allenwood, he was the son of the late Fred and Kathleen (Fritz) Drick. He was married to Shirley (Baker) Drick for 64 years until her death on September 1, 2016.

Robert served his country honorably in the United States Army. He began his electrical career in the 1960’s with Lecce Electric Company of Williamsport where he earned his Journeyman status. He worked for various electrical contractors doing high-voltage line work throughout Pennsylvania.

He was employed by Watsontown Borough as a high-voltage electrician for 17 years, retiring in 1972. He was a longtime member of Washington Presbyterian Church, Allenwoood where he had served on the board of trustees. He was a life member of the Watsontown American Legion and a longtime member of Watsontown Lodge #401 F&AM and the Williamsport Consistory.

He enjoyed helping his family doing whatever they needed done and helping anyone who needed a hand. He had a passion and joy for operating his old Frick saw-mill with his buddy, Art Ranck, and whomever he could get to help him at the time. He had a great love for his children and grandchildren, who he would always get to help him repair whatever needed repaired.

He was loved by everyone in his circles and will be greatly missed by all. Surviving are his four children: Robert G. and wife Elaine Drick of Prescott, AZ; Paul F. and wife Deanna Drick; Kim H. and wife Laurie Drick; and Kathy L. and husband Matt Miller, all of Allenwood; seven grandchildren: Ben Drick, Casey Drick, Matthew, Ryan, and Lauren Hiller, Kyle and Lucas Drick; and four great-grandchildren: Kyleah and Blake Hiller, and Ava and Cole Churico; and a brother, Harold (wife, Margaret) Drick of Allenwood. Preceding him in death besides his wife was a brother, Harry Drick of Allenwood and Harry’s wife, Doris (Murray) Drick.

Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 AM Friday at Washington Presbyterian Church, Allenwood where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Gene Brosious officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in Uniontown Cemetery, Allenwood.
