Robert H. (Long John) Thompson Jr., age 69, of Wright City, Oklahoma, passed away from this life on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. Long John (Robert) was born October 1, 1948 at Talihina Indian Hospital in Talihina, Oklahoma, the son of Robert H., Sr. and Susie Mae (Polk) Thompson. Long John (Robert) was employed as a Project Manifestor at Tyson, Inc., for over sixteen plus years.

Long John (Robert) enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on his vehicles, going to Choctaw Casino, playing guitar, family gatherings, especially holiday family time and meals, and spending time with his friends. Long John graduated from Wright City High School where he played basketball and a team member. Long John was a dedicated, loving, caring father and grandfather.

He loved and cherished his time with his children, grandchildren, family and friends. His memory will forever be in the hearts of all who knew him and loved him. Long John (Robert) is preceded in death by his parents, father Robert H. Thompson, Sr. and mother Susie Mae (Polk) Thompson and brothers, LeRoy Thompson and Harold Wayne Taylor; sister, Diane Roberts.

His memory will be forever cherished by his two children, daughter, Lisa Deel and husband Dewayne of Florence, Arizona, six children, Joshua Battiest, Garrett Thompson, Michaela Catano and husband Johnny, Alissa, Anissa and Waylon Deel and three great-grandchildren Emilio, Azariah, and Sanaya Catano; son, Tyron Bohanan and wife Wanda of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and their three daughters, Kiesha, Karis, and Nia and two grandchildren, King and Kalen and brothers; Anthony Thompson and wife Judy of Arlington, Texas, Dean Thompson and wife Sue of Broken Bow, Oklahoma,; sisters, Corliss Dwight, and David Jacobs of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Laverne Tiger and husband Jon of Eufaula, Oklahoma, Debbie Wolfmule of Wright City, Oklahoma and Phyllis Williston of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Long John leaves total of nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and many special friends. A wake service will be on Friday, September 21, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.

A celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Bow, Oklahoma with Rev. Tommy Wesley, Bro. Clevland Willis, and Rev.

Donnie Jacobs officiating. Interment will follow at Hampton Chapel Church Cemetery in Spencerville, Oklahoma.
