Robert Lee Bazemore, age 80, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Thursday July 5, 2018 at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Bazemore was born on May 2, 1938 in Pearson, Georgia the son of the late Eutice Bazemore and Miriam Elizabeth Smith Bazemore, He worked as a farmer. Survivors include his wife Helen Stone Bazemore of Douglas, GA; daughter, Denise Helen Bazemore of Douglas, Ga; son, Marcus Bazemore of Douglas, GA; brother, Walter Samuel Bazemore of Valdosta, GA; two sisters, Velma Smith of Valdosta, GA and Betty Ann Bazemore of St. Claire, Michigan; two grandchildren, Emma Lee Bazemore and Jasmin Bazemore; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday July 7, 2018 at 2:00pm from Mr. Bazemore’s residence, 343 Bethel Church Rd. Douglas, GA with Rev. Floyd Musgrove, Rev.

Floyd Tanner officiating with Denise Helen Bazemore giving the eulogy. Interment will follow at Douglas City Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 2:00pm Friday at the residence.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Sims Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses. Sympathy may be expressed by signing the online registry at www. simsfuneralhome.com.
