ROBERT LEE MEEKS July 26, 1938 – March 24, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Robert Lee Meeks, age 80 of Paducah, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at 7:14 a.m. at Baptist Health Paducah. He was retired from the security department at the United States Enrichment Corporation, Barkley Regional Airport and Bob Noble Park Paducah. He was also formerly employed by the City of Cairo, Illinois as a police officer during the Civil Rights Movement, Certified Nurse’s Assistant at the Old St. Mary Hospital and a past member of the Stone Square Lodge #5 F & AM, Prince Hall Affiliated.

He served in the United States Army and United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was preceded by his parents, one son, Ruben Earl Pyles, three brothers and one sister. Survivors include three daughters; Mary J. Pyles, Memphis, TN; Roberta Gaines, Springfield, IL; Brandi Blake, Cape Girardeau, MO; one son; LaRue (Virginia) Douglas, St. Louis, MO; Step-son; Robert (Renita) Pyles of Peoria, IL; four grandchildren; five great- grandchildren and other relatives.
