Robert Lee Nelson, 75 of Eastland, passed away Tuesday March 12, 2019. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Acker Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, 6~8 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland.

Robert was born in Wichita Falls, TX December 20, 1943 to Cecil Monroe and Jonnie (Winkles) Nelson. He married Sue Hallmark on July 10, 1964 in Eastland. Robert enjoyed fishing, hunting, and singing with his friends and family.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother; his brother, Jack Nelson; sisters, Wanda Vernon, Melba Kidd, and Juanell Frisinger. He is survived by his wife, Sue (Hallmark) Nelson; his children, Loretta Elmore & husband Travis, Kevin Nelson & fiancé Chrissy Borchord, Kimberly Keith & husband Darrell, and Gordon Nelson & fiancé Nancy Medina; his sisters, Betty Beaty, and Sue Thomas; brother, Melvin Nelson; 8 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
