Obituary for Robert West Mr. Robert Leonard West, 77 of Sparta, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Born Tuesday, December 17, 1940 in Smithville, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Herbert and Cora Wagner West. .

He was the husband of Judy Clark West. He worked in a body shop for many years. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.

He was a collector of antique cars. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Judy West of Sparta; sons, Terry West (Rena) of Sparta and Wally West (Gloria) of Smithville; daughters, Michelle Hammock and Angie Trusty both of Sparta; grandchildren, Ryan West, Brittney West, Jacob Hammock, Breanna Hammock, Kyra Hammock, Dawson Hammock, Jessica Cope, Jennifer Hanna, Tiffany Maddox, and Nick Trusty; sisters, Irene Krouse, Geraldine French, and Jenny Koons.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Lee Slatten. Funeral services will be held at 3pm on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Ryan West officiating. Burial will follow in Peeled Chestnut Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1pm until the time of the service at the funeral home.
