OBITUARY Robert Michael Volpe May 13, 1942 – November 21, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Robert M. Volpe, 76, of Richardson passed away on November 21, 2018 in Richardson at home surrounded by his loving family. Rosary and Visitation will be at 6:00 pm Thursday November 29th at Sparkman Funeral Home at 1029 S Greenville Ave, Richardson. Funeral services will be held 10:30 am Friday November 30 at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Martin of Saint Joseph’s officiating.

Burial will follow at Restland Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Sparkman Funeral Home. Robert, known mostly as Bob, was born in Brooklyn New York to Joseph Volpe and Dorothy Schaller on May 13, 1942.

He went to school at Saint Thomas Aquinas in Brooklyn. He married Rose Marie Hanley on October 7, 1961 in Brooklyn. He was an independent business man starting with a route for Drakes Cakes, then he moved to Texas where he owned Pro-Snacks Distributors, Bleachers Sports Grill and the McKinney Tavern.

He also served in the Marines. Bob is preceded in death by his beautiful wife Rose Marie, his loving Parents Joseph and Dorothy, and his brother Francis Volpe. Bob is survived by his children Robert and Kimberly Volpe, Donna and Thomas Latona, Denise and Rusty Binion, Kevin and Allison Volpe, by his sisters Virginia Lanza and Dorothy Volpe, his brothers Joseph Volpe, Richard Volpe, John Volpe, Timothy Volpe, Gerard Volpe, Anthony Volpe, his adoring grandchildren Hailey, Bella, Addie, Bobby and Beckham and truly so many other amazing family members.

Pallbearers will be his brothers Joseph Volpe, Richard Volpe, John Volpe, Timothy Volpe, Gerard Volpe, Anthony Volpe, his best friend Mike McCrea, and Kimberly Rollins his friend to the end. In lieu of flowers, please just do something kind for someone this holiday season in his honor. The family of Bob Volpe wishes to extend our sincere thanks to his caretakers Kimberly Rollins, Hailey Binion, Gregory Bowers, Desiree Perez, Pathway hospice, and the many family, friends, and neighbors who supported him and his family.
