Obituary of Robert Paul Dunham Robert Paul Dunham of Morgantown WV passed away peacefully on May 27, 2018 in his home surrounded by family. Bob lived a full life of love and accomplishment and leaves behind a legacy of kindness, humor, service, and dedication to family. Bob was born at home on May 7, 1932 in Parkersburg, WV.

He was born into a military family of five brothers. He is preceded in death by his parents, Army Lt. Col.

Carl C. and Goldie Dawson Dunham; brother, Army Lt. Col. Carl Dunham, Jr.; wife, Wilma Lawson Dunham; niece, Gretchen Dunham; sister-in-law, Dolores McGraw; and brother-in-law, Charles Lawson.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Sandy, and her husband, Jim Stone of St. Augustine, FL and his son, Steve, and his wife, Monica Gorrell of Bridgeport, WV; Grandsons – Army Maj. Grant and his wife, Megan, and great grandson, Gabriel, Ryan and his wife, Caroline, and great granddaughter, Nora all of Charlotte, NC, Harrison Gorrell of Baltimore, MD, Patrick Gorrell of Seattle, WA and Luke Gorrell of Bridgeport, WV. Bob is survived by 3 brothers: William and his wife, Judy Dunham, of Mechanicsburg, Pa, Donald Dunham of Milwaukee, WI and James and his wife, Patti Dunham, of Richmond, VA; sister- in-laws Martha Lawson of Elkins WV and Martha Dunham of Margate, NJ; and many nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by his FCX family and great friend, Wilma Stotler. Bob played football and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School, Beckley, WV. During his junior high years, he lived as an “Army Brat” in Obertsdorf Germany.

He served as a Noncommissioned Officer in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was stationed in Germany from 1951-1955. He attended WVU on the GI Bill, graduating in 1959 with a business degree.

He was a member of Kappa Alpha fraternity. Bob was a resident of the Southpark neighborhood in Morgantown, WV for 58 years. He worked for many years as a successful purchasing agent, ultimately retiring from FCX, Inc. of Morgantown at age 81, where he was a beloved member of the FCX family.

Bob was an avid Mountaineer and Steeler fan. Bob so enjoyed working with the youth of Morgantown. He coached Little League baseball and Pop Warner youth football and continued to give to the sporting community as equipment manager for all of Morgantown youth baseball for many years.

He was blessed to be able to spend 21 years celebrating his family on Memorial Day Weekend playing cards and reminiscing. The shining light in his life were his two grandsons and was so blessed to meet his two great grandchildren. In keeping with his wishes, cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Hastings Funeral Home in Morgantown.
