Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at Christ United Methodist Church, 417 N Frontage Road, Forsyth, GA 31029 with burial in Forsyth City Cemetery. Rev.

Debbie Lefevers will officiate. The family will greet friends the day of the service from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the church. Mr. Harris, the son of the late Willie Carter Harris and Viola Huggins Harris was born November 23, 1925, in Macon, Georgia.

His first wife, Berta Amanda Harris and his grandson, Joshua Parham preceded him in death. He was a retired contractor and was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during World War II. Mr. Harris was a member of Christ United Methodist and was an avid farmer known as “Farmer Bob”.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Harris of Macon; children, Robert and Merry Harris, Jr. of Macon, Connie and JC Parham of Franklin, NC and Nancy Willis of Jacksonville, FL; stepchildren, Al and Vickie Vedder of Lake Jackson and George and Jennifer Vedder of Forsyth; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Christ United Methodist Church, Post Office Box 162, Forsyth, Ga 31029. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
