Robert Towles Sr, 81, entered eternal rest on October 19, 2018 at Trail Point Village Nursing Home. Robert was born May 6, 1937 in Terre Haute, IN; to William and Ella Mae Towles. He was one of three siblings of that union.

Robert’s family moved to South Bend, IN when he was a young child, where he received his formal education. Robert attended Washington High School and that’s where he discovered a love for playing football. He retired from the Bendix Corporation where he dedicated years of service.

He was preceded in death by both parents; his daughter Jacquelyn A. Towles, four brothers Billy, Johnny, Jerry Dewayne and Willard “Carlos” Towles. Three sisters Sandra, Bennie and Judy Towles, also a nephew Billy Towles. Robert leaves to cherish his memory, his son Robert Towles Jr of South Bend, IN; four sisters Marion McFadden of South Bend, IN; Clara Clemons, Marjorie Doyle and Janet McCullough all of Milwaukee, WI and three brothers Virgil, Walter and David Towles all Terre Haute, IN.

Along with eight grandchildren, Brandon Lovingood of Milwaukee, WI; Robert III, Devon, Cameron, Jackie, Danielle, and Jeremiah Towles of South Bend, IN; Brian Jackson of Indianapolis, IN and twelve great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Also, one Aunt Carolyn Armstrong of South Bend, IN. Robert will be missed by many family and friends.
