Robert V. “Bob” Schmidt of Prairie du Chien, WI passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in Madison, WI. Bob was born December 31, 1950 in Prairie du Chien one of twin sons to Vincent and Caroline (Flansburgh) Schmidt. Bob served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.

Bob also delivered fuel and oil throughout the area for several different companies. He enjoyed his cabin, hunting, four wheeling and visiting yard sales. He was a member of the Eagles Club Aerie 1502.

Bob is survived by his twin brother Randy Schmidt of Prairie du Chien, WI, his sisters, Mary (Eugene) Fritsche of Stueben, WI, Kathy (Roger) Slama of Eastman, WI, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins along with a special friend Sandy Mulholland of Prairie du Chien, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Memorial Service will be Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel in Prairie du Chien with Rev.

James Weighner officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the Prairie du Chien Honor Guard. Friends may call the funeral home from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred in Bob’s name for the Prairie du Chien Honor Guard. www.
