Robert W. Hopkins of Milltown, NJ passed away peacefully February 14, 2019 at Hartwyck Care Center, Plainfield, NJ. He was 83 years old. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, he remained a resident there until relocating to Milltown 10 years ago.

He was employed as a pressman by the Daily News for 44 years. Robert enjoyed playing horseshoes, the pool, fishing, horse racing, barbecues, and most importantly the precious time spent with his family and beloved grandchildren. Predeceased by his precious granddaughter Ariella Hopkins, Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years Corinne Hopkins (née Young), son and daughter-in-law Robert “Bobby” and Lisa Hopkins, daughter Lisa Mehr, daughter Donna Blaes and Eddie, and grandchildren Kristen and Kenny Mehr, Alexa Blaes, and Emily Hopkins.

Family and friends will be received Sunday 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Bronson and Guthlein Funeral Home of Milltown. The funeral service will be celebrated Sunday evening. Final disposition is private.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks memorial donations be made to the Sons of the American Legion Post #25, Ariella Hopkins Fund, 4 JFK Drive, Milltown, NJ 08850.
