Obituary for Robert Wayne McCormick Robert Wayne McCormick (Bob) (Bobby) (Bobbo) finally found perfect peace and joined his beloved parents in heaven on Sunday, December 23, 2018. He passed away at the age of 58 from an apparent heart attack. Bob was born on November 8, 1960 in Pasco, Washington to Wayne and Jane McCormick and his older sister Judy.

He grew up in Pasco attending Robert Frost Elementary, Stevens Jr. High, and he graduated from Pasco High School in 1979. He earned his ex-ray tech license and worked for many years in the medical imaging industry. Bob ventured from the Tri-Cities and moved to Southern California in his early 20’s where he made many wonderful friends.

He met his future wife, Katy Powers at his church in Garden Grove, CA and they were married there on February 13, 1988. The family grew rapidly: Ben in 1990, Joshua in 1992, Andy in 1995, and Sam in 1998. After 14 years in Garden Grove the family moved to Camarillo, CA where he formed even more treasured friendships.

After Bob suffered a heart attack at age 44, it was decided the family would move back to the Tri-Cities to be closer to family support. He spent the remainder of his life there. Besides scores of friends and colleagues, Bob is survived by his wife of 30 years, Katy of Pasco, his amazing sons, Ben (Kristin) of Kennewick, Joshua (Kellie) of Kettle Falls, Andy (Kelly) of Pasco, and Sam of Pasco.

He is also survived by his sister Judy (Kim) of Washtucna and many aunts, uncles, cousins, a niece and a nephew. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 19 at the Highlands Grange Building, 1500 S. Union St. Kennewick, WA. Please dress casually and bring your stories.
