Obituary of Robert Douglas ST. JOHNSVILLE – Robert L. Douglas, age 84, of St. Johnsville, NY, passed away on Saturday December 15, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Amsterdam, NY with his loving family at his side. He was born February 6, 1934, in Little Falls, NY, a son of the late Burton and Dorothy (Kraus) Douglas and was educated in schools there.

His marriage to Myrna Kramer took place May 26, 1956 and Myrna passed away on May 27, 2013. He served in the United States Army from 1953 until 1955, Korean War era and worked as an Amphibious Vehicle Driver. He last worked with Chicago Pneumatic in Utica (30 plus years) and at one time worked with Allegro Shoe Co., Little Falls.

Bob loved hunting, fishing and being around his family, especially attending activities of his grandchildren which brought him great joy. He was an avid New York Giants and New York Yankees fan and was fond of going to the casino and researching family genealogy and heritage. Right up until recently Bob had helped many of his neighbors on Ann Street with snow removal and he was so happy to do so.

He is survived by his beloved family, his children, Rodney Douglas and his wife, Patricia, Randy Douglas, Rhonda Snell and her husband, Donald and Julie Battisti and her husband, Dominic; his grandchildren, Robert Douglas, Kassady Douglas, Shannon Watkins and husband, Jody, Shane Snell, Shianna Snell and Chad Stumpf, Randy Douglas, Jr., Abigail Douglas and Maria Battisti; his great – grandchildren, Claire Boyer and Vivian Stumpf; his brother and sister – in – law, Gordon and Marianne Douglas; a sister – in – law, Barbara Kramer; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Myrna; his brothers, Dayton and Walter Douglas; and his sisters, Marion Fuller, Erma Eberlein and Lorraine Novak. Funeral services will be held on Saturday December 22, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at The Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center Street in St. Johnsville, NY with Rev.

Karen Patterson, officiating. Interment will be in the spring at West St. Johnsville Cemetery. Calling hours for family and friends are Saturday morning, prior to the funeral prayers at the funeral home, 10:00 AM until Noon.
