Robert “Ozzy” D. Osborne, age 66, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at his home in Milton. He was born in Edgerton on June 30, 1952, the son of Theodore and Marlene (Woerth) Osborne. He was stationed stateside at numerous bases with the U.S. Air Force from 1973 until he was honorably discharged in 1979.

Bob married Sandra Erdman in Las Vegas on October 16, 1992. He retired from General Motors in Fort Wayne in 2009, having made Indiana their home for 23 years. For the last 9 years he shared his time between North Port, Florida and Milton, Wisconsin.

He and Sandy enjoyed traveling extensively in their motor home throughout 48 states. They especially loved Gatlinburg, TN and Key West, FL. Bob was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing.

He enjoyed woodworking and every house reflected his ability to make it a home. His most recent project was helping build the family cabin in Hayward. Bob will be remembered as a gentle man who loved with all his heart, especially all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Sandra; 2 daughters, Rachel (fiancé, Mark Johnson) Robinson of Litchfield, AZ and Nicole (Tom) Serak of Denver, CO; step daughter, Sheila (Todd) Welsh of Janesville; step son, Jason (Joni) Peterson of Janesville; 10 grandchildren: Derek and Desmond Robinson, Mark Johnson Jr., Daniel, Jacob, and Christopher Serak, Cameron and Elise Welsh, RaeAnne Schiefelbein, and Claira Peterson; 2 great grandchildren, Zanaya and Karter; step mother, Lucille Osborne; brother, Glenn (Vicky) Osborne; sister, Julie Carmichael; half-brothers, Troy (Julie) Osborne and Todd Osborne; half-sister, Shellie Osborne; furry friend, his dog, Taffy; and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; step father, Robert Carpenter; half-brother, Timothy Osborne; and son in law, Damon Robinson. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m., noon, on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY with Pastor David Dwyer officiating.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday. Our Ozzy spent his time putting smiles on our faces, planning our next fun adventure, and always telling us he loved us. His irreplaceable spirit will be held in our hearts always.
