Obituary for Rodney Dean Salmon Rodney D. Salmon, 53, of Central City died Thursday, December 13, 2018 at his home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home with Pastor Curt Cooper officiating. Visitation will be Monday, December 17, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Burke Cemetery near Central City. Rodney was born on January 22, 1965 to Danny and Kay (Platt) Salmon in Grand Island, Nebraska. He grew up in Central City and attended school there.

He worked at May and Kay’s Café. He also did various other jobs including car detailing and working as a security guard. He was a member of the First Christian Church.

He enjoyed Nebraska Cornhusker Football, Nascar and watching Days Of Our Lives. He loved his grandchildren very much. He got married and to this union were born two children- Amber Marie and Keith Salmon both of Central City.

He is also survived by his parents; one brother- Don and Wanda Salmon of Central City, NE; three grandchildren; aunts, uncles, and cousins; a special cousin- Mike Madison. Rodney was preceded in death by his grandparents- A.F. and Luella Salmon; Cecil and Ida Platt; aunts and uncles.
