Life Story for Roger Allen Seal Roger Allen Seal, 43, of Grant Parish, left this world on October 29, 2018 with his brother at his side, the same way he entered it on October 7, 1975. He was born to Gary and Susan Lindsay Seal. Roger was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend.

Roger was the co-owner of R & R Tops. He took great pride in his work and loved R & R Top’s employees and customers. He enjoyed many hobbies, but at the top of his list were visiting and fishing.

One of his favorite places to hang out was Bea’s Grocery. You were likely to see his truck parked in the lot when you drove past! If Roger wasn’t at a table or leaned against his truck talking he was probably on a lake or river fishing.

Roger was an avid fisherman. He could exaggerate his catch with the best of them—as all great fishermen do! He took great pride fishing with young people and sharing which baits he thought would get the best bite!

He was the Montgomery High School Fishing Team Boat Captain of the Year in 2016. He is survived by his mother, Susan Lindsay Seal, twin brother, Robert Seal, sister-in-law Tammy, nephew Tyler Nevill, and niece Cassie Nevill, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Roger was preceded in death by his father Gary Seal, his maternal grandparents, R. W. and Clara Alice Lindsay, his paternal grandparents, Lester and Patsy Seal, as well as his Aunt Cheryl and Uncle Butch.

Family will receive friends beginning at 5:00 on Thursday evening until 9:00 p.m. at New Prospect Baptist Church (111 Prospect Church Road, Dry Prong, Louisiana). Visitation will resume on Friday morning at 10:00. A service celebrating Roger’s life will begin at 2:00 Friday afternoon.

The service will be officiated by Bro. Mark Breland and Bro. Lloyd Whitman.

Following the service, burial will be at Frazier Cemetery, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home. The employees of R & R Tops are honored to serve as pall bearers. The family would like to thank all of those in the community who have supported and loved Roger throughout his brief battle with cancer.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Montgomery High School Bass Club or the Grant High School Bass Club.
