Roger E. Platt 80 of Ravenna, formerly of Charlestown, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018. He was born October 9, 1938 in Warren, Ohio to Raymond and Mary May (Mansell) Platt. Roger was a US Army veteran, an electrician for GM in Lordstown and a member of UAW #1112.

He enjoyed traveling and helping others. Survivors include his wife of 30 years Sandra S. (Vair), children Bridget Platt, Brian (Lori) Platt and Brad (Steve Crook) Platt, stepchildren Deborah (Charles) Hutton and Rick (Patty) Raber, 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, siblings Elizabeth Easterday, Margie Kemble, stepsiblings Shirley Keck and Kent Dickerson and his former wife Joyce Shanklin. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Martha Waggoner.

Memorial calling hours will be for 10 AM until time of memorial service at 11 AM Monday, December 17, 2018 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Pastor Steve Garces will officiate. Burial will follow in Charlestown Cemetery.
