Roger J. Smith, 77, husband of the late Rebecca Ann (Schwab) Smith, of Charlestown, PA died on June 4, 2018 in Penn Medicine Rittenhouse. Born on November 14, 1940 in Saylorsburg, PA, he was the son of the late Silas Benjamin and Florence Esther (Barlieb) Smith. He graduated from Polk Township High School and Penn State University with a degree in electrical engineering.

He was a District Manager for Bell Atlantic. Roger enjoyed hunting, farming, tennis, golf, fishing, clamming, sailing, traveling, and dancing. He was a member of Groundhog Lodge, No.

6 in Kunkletown, PA and Blue Mountain Preservation Association. Surviving are: Daughter, Kimberly wife of John Drake; Son, Shaun husband of Julie Smith. Grandchildren:Greta and Silas.

Close friend Nancy Smith and beloved cat Ashes. Preceded by his brother, Clark Smith. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service in St. Peter’s Pikeland United Church of Christ, 1193 Clover Mill Road, Chester Springs, PA on Friday, June 8, 2018 at 11:00 am with Rev.

Douglas Hanson officaiting. A viewing will be held in Church from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
