OBITUARY Roland E. DuPont Jr. August 7, 1932 – January 21, 2019 Charlotte – Roland E. DuPont, born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on August 7, 1932, passed away January 21, 2019. He served in the US Air Force for 20 years and retired in Charlotte. He met and married Arlette Cabiro in France and had 3 children.

He is survived by his children Lauren McDowell (Hank), Steven DuPont (Cathy), Stephanie Cook (Steve) and former spouse Arlette DuPont. His loving grandchildren; Allison Ferrer (Nabor), Anna Whalen (James), Rylie Cook and Maxwell Cook, Nicole McDowell and Sean McDowell. Great grandchildren; Charles Paoli and Cain Paoli.

He is also survived by his longtime love Ms. Peggy Stemple. The funeral will be held at Forest Lawn West Funeral & Cremation Service in Charlotte, 4601 Freedom Drive, on Saturday January 26, 2019 starting with visitation at 1:00 pm followed by the funeral service at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, our Father would have wanted donations to be made to the following charitable organizations: American Heart Association (AHA), American Diabetes Association or Alzheimer’s Foundation.
