Hysten, 71, of Atchison, Kansas passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at Atchison Medicalodge. Funeral Services will be Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 12:00 noon at the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Ozawkie Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, one hour prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. until noon at the funeral home. Roland was born on September 14, 1947 in Ozawkie, Kansas the son of the late Alonzo and Ellen (Bratton) Hysten. He graduated from the Oskaloosa High School.

He lived in Ozawkie, Kansas before moving to Atchison in 1968. He was employed with Atchison Castings for thirty-five years in the hand blast and shaker table departments until his retirement. Survivors include his sisters, Annabelle Birch and Henrietta Taylor, both of Topeka, KS and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Shirley Whichard and brothers, Guy Hysten, Robert Hysten and Howard Hysten.
