Obituary for Roland Louis Meade Roland L. Meade passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 77 years of age. Survived by his loving wife of 21 years Ragnhild “Ronnie” Meade; son Tracy Meade of Sterling Heights; granddaughters Amanda Meade of Walled Lake, MI and Stefany Meade of Denton, TX. Also survived by 10 brothers and sisters.

He is preceded in death by his father Louis Meade and mother Betty Shumaker. Roland worked in education his entire life, retiring from Washtenaw Community College after 14 years of teaching computer science. He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1960 to 1964.

He enjoyed Aikido, attaining the rank of black belt, and roller-skating for the past 50 years. He also enjoyed playing duplicate bridge with his wife for 25 years, attaining the level of Silver Life Master. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Ann Arbor with burial following in the Memorial Garden.
