Ron Nash , October 17, 1946 — January 01, 2019

Ron Nash earned his angel wings on January 1, 2019 at the age of 72 after a short illness. Ron was born to Ferrall and Ila Butterfield Nash on October 17, 1946 in Tooele, Utah. He graduated from Tooele High School in 1964, and then joined the Air Force where he proudly defended the beaches of Waikiki during the Vietnam War.

Ron married Carolyn York on February 7, 1969, in Tooele, Utah they were married for 49 years. Ron worked for Storagetek as a Regional Field Manager for 30 years. He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors chasing deer and elk and telling the stories that followed his successful trips.

He was also an avid gardener who grew tomatoes for anyone that wanted them, including the deer that thought his house was their home. Ron loved his family and enjoyed any and all time that was spent with them. Especially during the summer months watching his children and grandchildren play in their swimming pool.

He was an avid “Beatles” fan and it made him happy that his father, him, his children and grandchildren were also fans. Getting to see Paul McCartney perform was one of his favorite memories. Ron and Carolyn’s home was always open to all friends of their children, many called them Mama and Papa Nash.

Ron and Carolyn owned and operated their catering company, Ultimate Catering, that they have grown into a prosperous business and made many friends. Ron is survived by his wife Carolyn, daughters Missy (Henry) Begay, Carrie (Dave) Gilley, son Scott (Missy) Nash, 6 Granddaughters, 2 step Grandchildren and 9 great Grandchildren, Sister Yvonne (Butch) Johnson, Brother Brent (Angie) Nash, Brother & Sister in-law George and Connie Anderson. Ron is preceded in death by his father Ferrall and mother Ila and in-laws Gene and Dorothy York.

Along with many aunts, uncles and grandparents. Funeral services will be held Saturday January 5, 2019 at the Tooele Valley View Stake Center. 332 East 1000 North, Tooele at 12:00 PM.

Visitation will be Friday January 4, 2019 at the Tate Mortuary from 6:00PM – 8:00PM and from 11:00AM -11:45AM, day of the service at the Tooele Valley View Stake Center. Interment will be at the Tooele City Cemetery.
