Ronald’s Obituary Ronald Arthur Grant, 83, of Battle Creek, passed away on Monday, December 24, 2018 at his home. He was born on April 30, 1935, in Battle Creek, the son of Arthur A. and Eva (Flook) Grant. Ron attended Lakeview Public Schools and was a 1954 graduate of Nashville Agricultural School.

He was previously employed by Oliver Equipment. Ron was employed as an auto mechanic for Sears and retired after 30 years of service. He married the former Ilene Hawks on February 18, 1956.

She survives him. Ron enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing, and watching sports. He also enjoyed square dancing with Ilene.

He was well known for having lunch at McDonalds, Taco Bell or Burger King every day. He is survived by his children Jackie Grant of Battle Creek, Ron “Butch” (Whitney Emmans) Grant of Battle Creek and Jodi McPherson of Middletown, Delaware. He also leaves his grandchildren Kenneth Grant, Leann Grant, Tiffanie (Jason) Ruess, Cameron McPherson, Mandi McPherson, Kayden Warner, Courtney (Jeremy) Parker, Terry “TJ” Grant Jr., Hannah Grant, Grace Grant, Shawn Grant, Melissa (Josh) Cushman and Derek Lussier and 11 great grandchildren.

He is also survived by his sisters Alaine Ratliff and Marietta Atkinson. Ron was preceded in death by his parent and his son Terry Grant on September 7, 2015. Visitation will be from 11:00am to 1:00pm, Monday, December 31, 2018 at Royal Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 1:00pm.

Interment will be at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.
