Ronald E. Mekic, 62, of Unity Township, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2018, at home. He was born Sept.

29, 1956, in Latrobe, a son of the late James E. and Josephine (Merva) Mekic. He attended Hope Evangelical Methodist Church, Youngstown, and worked at Danser’s Auto U-Pull Yard, Blairsville. He is survived by his wife, Joyce L. (Elliott) Mekic; three children, Phillip Stanley Mekic, of Unity Township, Heather Amanda Buterbaugh and husband, James, of Derry, and Rhonda Lea Allen and husband, Ronn, of King of Prussia; nine grandchildren, William, Christopher, Charles, Katlynn, Patrick, Kylee, Alexis, Michael and Gabrielle; a great-grandson, Collin; two sisters, Donna Todd and Linda Long, both of Greensburg; two brothers, James R. Mekic and wife, Kerri, of Phoenix, Ariz.

, and Gerald L. Mekic, of Marguerite; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC. , 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity, where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday with the Rev.

Wayne R. Rhodes Jr. officiating. Entombment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township. www.
