Ronald Gene Haag October 09, 1931 – May 05, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| View Guestbook Entries Ronald Gene Haag, 87, of Hutchinson, died May 5, 2019, at his home. He was born October 9, 1931, in Larned, to Ermon Dennis and Juanita (Keasling) Haag. Ronald graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1951, Emporia State Teachers College in 1962, and Wichita State University in 1975, with a Master’s Degree in Education.

He served in the United States Air Force from 1953-1955. Ronald enjoyed airplanes, attending air shows, and antique tractors and cars. For over 30 years, he taught fifth grade at Ellinwood, Union Valley, and Prosperity Schools.

Ronald was a member of Plevna Community Bible Church. On May 16, 1964, he married Milbry Ruth Bridgeman in South Hutchinson. They shared almost 55 years of marriage.

Ronald is survived by: wife, Milbry of Hutchinson; sons, Timothy Haag (Davina) of McPherson, John Haag (Melissa) of Wichita; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: his parents; one brother; two sisters; and daughter, Kerri Sue Haag-Pellecchia. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor David E. Green officiating.

Burial will follow in Abbyville Cemetery, with military honors conducted by the McConnell Air Force Base Honor Guard. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary. Memorials may be made to Plevna Community Bible Church, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
