Obituary for Ronald J. Dean Ronald J. Dean, 72, of Charles City, VA passed away April 19, 2018. Ronald was born in Newnan, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Sendy Dean; and siblings Christine Samples, Virginia Dean, Jeanette Yearwood, Charles Dean, Jackie Eacho, Selby Dean and Larry Dean.

Ron was a Viet Nam veteran and served in the Marine Corps. During his service he received several medals including the Purple Heart and Navy Achievement with Combat V. He retired from Richfood where he worked in the maintenance department. Ron is survived by his wife Vicki Dean; a sister Patricia Caldwell; his children Dougie Dean (Shannon) and Misti Wajciechowski; grandchildren Joseph, Sydni, Isabel, Max, Daisy, Benjamin and Samuel; a brother-in-law Bo Bennett (Teresa) and sister-in-law Tere Pistole (Larry); mother-in-law Juanita Meacham; and many nieces, nephews and close friends.

The family would like to send special thanks to the medical staff at McGuire’s Hospital. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, April 26th at Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge, VA 23140. Interment with honors will be held at a later date.

The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517. Upcoming Events Visitation 2018 APR 25.
