Ronald James Charchenko February 28, 1950 – May 25, 2019 Share this obituary Upload Photo| Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Ronald James Charchenko, age 69, of Hinckley, MN passed away at his home on May 25, 2019. Ronald was born on February 28, 1950 to Nicholas and Pauline (Fleck) Charchenko in Dickinson, ND. Ron and his family moved to Fridley, MN where he graduated from Columbia Heights High School.

After high school Ronald enlisted in the Navy and served his country during the Vietnam War. After being honorably discharged from the Navy Ron started his career as a welder. He worked at Eagle Tool and moved to his most beloved place, the Farm.

Ron also worked at Path Finder Village as a maintenance man. Once Ron retired he enjoyed life on the farm and of course riding his motorcycle. He was a member of the AHDR.

Ron was a beloved son, father, grandfather, and uncle. Riding motorcycle, fishing, hunting, tinkering, and inventing were all hobbies that Ron enjoyed, but his true enjoyment came from spending time with his grandson and family. Ron is preceded in death by his father, his infant brother and his brother, Terrance.

Ron is survived by his mother, Pauline Charchenko; daughter, Nicole (Eric) Appelwick; grandson, Kyler Appelwick; niece, Tracy McCumber and family; nephew, Gabriel Charchenko and family; his brother, Allan Charchenko; and his sister in law, Pamela Charchenko. A memorial service is planned for Ron at Methven Funeral Home at 12 p.m. on June 1, 2019 with visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place later at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
