In Loving Memory of Ronald James Kontz Sr. Ron Kontz was born on November 2, 1943 in Worthington, Minnesota to Donald and Evelyn Sell Kontz. He grew up on the family farm north east of Adrian and attended Adrian School. On August 13, 1966 he and Donna Jeffers were married at St. Kilian Catholic Church.

Following their marriage they farmed and raised their three children near St. Kilian. Ron raised cattle and would name each of them. Ron also worked at the Wilmont Farm Store for many years.

Donna passed away on April 19, 2018. In December 2018 Ron moved to the Slayton Rehabilitation and Health Care Center where he passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the age of 75. He was a former member of St. Kilian Church.

Ron enjoyed hunting, trapping, auctions, and coffee with neighbors and friends. Survivors include his three children, Ronald Kontz Jr., of Lismore, MN, Randy Kontz of Elgin, IA, and Jody Buffington and her husband, Tom of Mapleton, MN, 10 grandchildren, one sister, Taya Dufault and her husband, Dennis of IA, half brother Nick Jadinak and his wife, Mary of WI, and sister-in-law, Joan Kontz of AZ. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Donna, infant daughter, Michelle, infant son, Russell, and one brother, Rodney Kontz.

A private family interment will be held.
