Ronald Gene Hunsaker of Red Oak, Texas passed away on May 11, 2019. Graveside Service will be held at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway Dallas, Texas 75211 on Friday May 17, 2019 at 9:00AM. Visitation will be from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Driggers and Decker Family Funeral Home on Thursday May 16, 2019.

Ron was born on January 30, 1955 in Dallas, Texas to Thomas and Geneva Hunsaker. He joined the United States Navy in 1980 and was very proud of his service. He felt it was a true honor to have served his country.

In Ron’s spare time, he enjoyed riding motorcycles. Ron was a very hard working and dedicated man who did anything and everything for his family. He spent his life making sure his family was well taken care of and loved.

Ron doted on his children and his grandson. He absolutely loved spending time with them. He was also, anxiously awaiting the arrival of his new granddaughter, Mollie Kate, who is due in just 3 short weeks.

Ron’s loving and caring presence will be missed by all. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Hunsaker. Ron is survived by his wife of 38 years, Kathie Hunsaker; children, Clint Hunsaker and Kalyn Lewis and her husband Kris; grandson, Garrett Lewis; soon to be granddaughter, Mollie Kate Lewis; mother, Geneva Person; brother, Mark Hunsaker and his wife, Silvia; sister, Kristi Hunsaker; brother, Russell Hunsaker and wife; Amanda and brother, Michael Hunsaker; and many other relatives and friends.
