Ronald S. Rose 91, of Valhalla, NY passed away peacefully on Saturday October 6, 2018 at the New York State Veterans Nursing Home in Montrose, NY. Ron was born on Dec. 24, 1926.

Ron enjoyed the outdoors and especially the Adirondacks where he had a summer place and loved cutting grass on his John Deere tractor and gardening. Ron proudly served his country during WWII and the Korean War in the US Navy. He was a member of the American Legion Post 1038, DAV and VFW donating his time and energy to all.

Ronald is survived by his devoted spouse Rosemary , his two sons Mark (Diana), Bruce, his two granddaughters Keli Moyik (Stephen), Christina and his sister Mary Kearns. In addition to his parents he was predeceased his son Stephen and his brothers Art, Reg, and Bill. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home, Monday from 4-8 PM.

Funeral Mass, Holy Name of Jesus Church, Valhalla, NY on Tuesday 10 AM. Interment, Rose Hills Memorial Park, Putnam Valley, NY to Follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ronald’s name can be made to the NYS Veterans Nursing Home 2090 Albany Post Rd, Montrose, NY 10548.
