Obituary of Ronald Lesko Ronald E. Lesko Sr., 1934-2018 A kind, quiet, loving man FARMINGTON, N.Y. – Ronald E. Lesko Sr., died suddenly of a heart attack on Oct. 30, 2018. Ron was born May 21, 1934, in Chicago and raised on the city’s South Side.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 34 years, Frances M. “Chickie” Lesko; his parents Charles J. and Mae A. (Perhcal) Lesko; and his brother Charles J. Lesko. He is survived by son Ronald E. Lesko Jr. (Katie); daughter Kathleen M. Creswell; step-sons Thomas A. Ceddia (Haley Ahn) and John M. Ceddia (Anne). He was a loving “Papa” and cherished his grandchildren: Zachary, Sofia, Anthony, Isabelle, Riley, Corey, Abigail and Olive.

He is also survived by his sister, Dolores Schwenn, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends who he loved deeply. Ron worked as a traffic manager for the Xerox Corp. , from 1963-1996.

Prior to that, he served in the U.S. Army in 1953-54 at the end of the Korean War era. He also held positions in Chicago and Milwaukee. While working in Milwaukee, Ron built a small home near Bohners Lake just outside Burlington, Wis.

He cherished the memories of his time there in the late 1950s and early 1960s. With Xerox, he was hired in Chicago and also worked in Dallas and Los Angeles before the company transferred him to Rochester in 1969. He moved to Bristol in 1973 and to Bloomfield in 1978.

A kind, quiet man filled with love, he was passionate about sports – most especially the Chicago Bears, White Sox and Bulls, and the University of Notre Dame – and the outdoors. He adored his decade-long retirement job driving for wine tours throughout the Finger Lakes region. He was always at home and at peace in the hills and valleys around Canandaigua, Keuka, Seneca and Cayuga lakes.

Calling hours will be Monday, Nov. 5 from 5-7 p.m. at Fuller Funeral Home Inc., 190 Buffalo St., Canandaigua. Family and friends will celebrate a funeral Mass on Tuesday, Nov.

6 at 11 a.m. at St. Bridget’s Church, 15 Church St., Bloomfield. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Canandaigua. In lieu of flowers, the family asks those who would like to remember Ron to consider a charitable gift to the F.F. Thompson Hospital Foundation Inc., 350 Parrish St., Canandaigua, NY 14424.
