Ronnie Dale Thompson “R.T.”, 62, of Arlington passed away Saturday, March 16, 2019 at the Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky. He was born in Mayfield, Kentucky on July 10, 1956 to the late Wayne Thompson and Helen Ivie Thompson. Ronnie was retired from Triad Mining where he worked as a coal miner.

He attended New Concord Church in Mayfield. He loved to work, watch old westerns, rabbit hunt and play cards with friends Ronnie is survived by his partner, Debbie Stamper, his children, Wendy (Ryan Hartke) Thompson of Stendal, Indiana, Lyle (Jessica) Thompson of Owensboro, Kentucky, four grandchildren, Trevor Clark, Maddie Thompson, Lauren (Scott) Johns, Whitney Hartke, one great-grandchild, Wren Johns, his siblings, Steve Thompson of Owensboro, and Karen Thompson of Mayfield. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home.
