Charles Ronald “Ronnie” Leonard, 73, passed away at his residence at Mock Place Thursday, December 13, 2018, following a battle with cancer. Born January 24, 1945, he was the son of the late Charles Hobert Leonard and the late Ruby Evelyn Byrd Leonard. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, David Michael Leonard and Jacob Eugene Leonard, and a sister, Patricia Gail Holmes.

Ronnie grew up in Davidson County and attended Tyro schools. He worked for many years in the textile industry as a loom fixer. Later, he worked for the NC Dept.

of Transportation at the rest area. He enjoyed fishing whenever and wherever he could and he was a very good fisherman. He is survived by one son, Ronald Wayne Leonard; three daughters, Tina Ann Leonard, Sandra Renee Leonard and Angela Denise Leonard; and one brother, Ralph Leonard and wife, Hope, all of Mocksville.

Sixteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren also survive. At his request, no formal services will be held and his cremains will be scattered across the lands he loved. Davie Funeral Service is serving the Leonard family.
