OBITUARY Rosalie Rita Lucas July 7, 1925 – October 25, 2018 Rosalie Rita Belanger Lucas passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at the age of 93. She was the cherished mother of Gary J. Lucas (Joell), Linda L. Hueschen (Evan), Lana L. Randazzo (August), David C. Lucas (Lisa) and the late Danny J. Lucas (Marie). Daughter of the late Inez Pitre Belanger.

Sister of the late Willan Belanger, Fredrika Cheramie, Joyce Coffman and Aramae Gardner. Proud grandmother of Hope Izaguirre, August Randazzo Jr., Mandy Randazzo, Angela Doherty and Miranda Lucas. Great grandmother of Gage Randazzo, Mia Randazzo, Jayden Randazzo, Gavin Randazzo, Brailyn Randazzo and Kaleb Doherty.

She is also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Rosalie was born in Bourg, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish before settling in Slidell, LA. She found pleasure in the details of everyday life and caring deeply for others.

Rosalie enjoyed teaching exercise classes, trips to the casino with her friends, travelling and loved to dance. She will always be remembered for her loyalty and dedication to her family, her caring and loving spirit, her laughter, and talking about her the grandchildren. She was a wonderful example of what it means to care for others and will be deeply missed by us all.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, November 3rd from 11:00AM – 1:00PM, followed by a memorial service in her memory beginning at 1:00PM. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
