Rosalind Claire Poland Lloyd, formerly of Middleburg and Berryville, died on December 13, 2018, in Blacksburg, Virginia. She was born in Washington, D.C., on December 10, 1935, to the late Mae Davis Poland Schulz and Lawrence H. Poland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas A. Lloyd, and their only child, Lawrence A. Lloyd.

She is survived by her special friend, Philo Cockerille; her brother, James H. Poland, and his wife, Carole A. Poland; and a number of nieces and nephews Rosalind grew up in Pleasant Valley, Virginia. After graduation from Aldie High School in 1953, she began working in the Fairfax County, Virginia, Treasurer’s office. She retired from the Fairfax County Department of Taxation after 41 years of service.

The family expresses deep appreciation to the caregivers at The Orchard in Warsaw, Virginia, and The Crossings in Blacksburg, Virginia, and to Good Samaritan Hospice for their attentive and compassionate care.
